Senior Manager - Employment Creation (Vocational Training and Livelihood)

Primary Accountabilities

- Support the Deputy Director – Employment Creation (EC) in the implementation of the defined long-term strategy for the Employment Creation discipline and align short-term goals and plans to that
- Build model livelihood interventions (including Vocational Training/Skill Development programs and Small Business Units) for survivors and communities vulnerable to human trafficking and provide them with sustainable solutions for life with dignity
- Research, develop and plan for implementation of relevant SOPs and protocols for the discipline pertaining to - Vocational Training/Skill Building, Small Business Units and rehabilitation with dignity
- Provide hands on management and leadership to EC program/field teams as well as contribute to program design, development and operations
- Identify and develop long-term collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholder including relevant government authorities, financial institutions, NGO and corporate. Also strengthen their capacity development through relevant training
- Ensure sustained focus on the survivors of trafficking (case work), who are part of the program, working within a multidisciplinary framework and ensure survivor centricity consistently during program planning
- Oversee quality of program interventions through strong monitoring, evaluations and follow up and also be responsible for reporting on the progress in their zone

Experience, Skills and Competencies

- A post graduate degree in Rural Management, Social Work or any other relevant discipline with minimum 12 years of work experience of which at least 3 have been in a similar leadership role
- At least 5 years of experience of developing and managing skill development programs, leading team of at least 4-6 professionals and successfully identifying, engaging, influencing a large network of relevant stakeholders and partners for growth
- Proven ability in straddling multiple day-to-day roles that include timely roll out of operations, quality assurance, stakeholder management, team building and financial management and meeting operational targets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as high level of computer skills specifically MS office (familiarity with use of Google Drive)

- Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture effective relationships with all stakeholders across levels, both internally and externally
