The Board of Justice and Care is delighted to announce that a new CEO has been appointed to lead its critical and multi award-winning work fighting modern slavery.

James Clarry has been Chief Operating Officer at Coutts, the private bank, for the past six years, and he will join the team at the beginning of September.

Our Chair of Trustees in the UK, James Thomas, says: ‘James is joining the organisation at a critical time.

‘Whilst there is some progress in the countries in which we operate, globally we are seeing a large increase in the number of victims of human trafficking and a reduction in the number of prosecutions.

‘We need first class leadership to help fight this crime, and we are delighted to have appointed James. He is a natural leader, with broad experience gained in senior, international roles. He has been passionate about this issue for many years.’

James Clarry is looking forward to leading the Justice and Care team, saying: ‘I have loved my 19 years with NatWest and Coutts and am confident that I can bring this experience to benefit the important work of Justice and Care.

‘This is a special organisation and I am excited to have been selected to lead the talented team at Justice and Care to even greater impact and long-term systemic change in the regions in which we operate.’
