Our BBC Radio 4 Appeal!

January 27, 2023

Our friend, former Blue Peter presenter and sports broadcaster, Simon Thomas has recorded our appeal, focussed on our award-winning UK Victim Navigator Programme – an exciting opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds for our work.

We introduced Simon to James*, someone who was enslaved close to Simon’s home. James was a victim of ‘cuckooing’ – a form of exploitation that is on the rise here in the UK. Thanks to the support of one of our Navigators, James is now starting to rebuild his life – and while deeply affected by his exploitation, is doing really well. You can listen to his story below…

Listen to our BBC Radio 4 Appeal!

James is one of 222 survivors that Justice and Care has supported through our Navigator Programme over the past year – see the wider impact of the programme here.

Donations made to this appeal could triple in impact** to support our UK Navigator Programme.

Simon shares why he champions us!
