Published June 2025

Justice & Care has implemented a peer-led aftercare programme for survivors of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking (MSHT) in Bangladesh. This approach involves empowering ‘Champion Survivor Leaders’ to provide aftercare alongside staff, benefitting both the Champion Survivors and those receiving support.

This external endline assessment explores the benefits, challenges, and impacts of survivor-led survivor care, delves into the recovery and reintegration progress and seeks to validate and enhance the overall effectiveness of the aftercare model. Through this comprehensive evaluation, Justice & Care strives to pioneer innovative, effective, and empathetic strategies for survivor support and reintegration, establishing a standard for similar initiatives globally.
