Connecting survivors of modern slavery and exploitation with meaningful employment opportunities.
June 29, 2026
Justice & Care is delighted to announce we will be partnering with Bright Future Co-operative to deliver the National Matching Service – facilitating the placement of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking in safe and appropriate employment opportunities.
For many survivors, securing safe and sustainable employment is a significant step in rebuilding their lives. This programme helps equip survivors with the experience, confidence and support needed to access meaningful work and achieve greater financial independence.
Our role is to act as stewards of this established model, ensuring continuity for survivors, employers and partners. We recognise that moments of transition can create uncertainty, particularly in safeguarding contexts. Our priority is to maintain confidence by preserving what works, retaining strong partnerships, and ensuring that survivor journeys remain uninterrupted.
“We are delighted to be joining forces with Bright Future to build on a programme that has already changed the lives of many survivors of modern slavery. Access to safe, meaningful employment can be a transformative step in recovery – helping people regain confidence and to rebuild with dignity. We look forward to working alongside Bright Future, its members and our partners to create pathways to freedom and long-term independence.” – James Clarry, CEO
Through this transition, Bright Future’s identity, values, and co-operative model remain distinct – with Justice & Care delivering the National Matching Service on its behalf, maintaining the programme’s independence while strengthening safeguarding, operational delivery, and partner engagement.
At the heart of our work in the UK is our award-winning Victim Navigator Programme – a flagship model providing holistic, trauma-informed support to survivors of exploitation. Specialist Navigators walk alongside individuals through recovery, helping them access justice, stabilise their lives, and move towards long-term independence. This support is tailored, relational, and sustained – recognising that recovery is not a single moment, but a journey.
These programmes are complementary, but distinct:
- The Victim Navigator Programme remains focused on survivor recovery, protection, and justice.
- The National Matching Service provides access to ethical employment opportunities through a national network of businesses.
Together, they form part of a broader, survivor-led journey – ensuring individuals can move forward at their own pace, with choice, dignity and ongoing support.
Bright Future will continue to strengthen the National Matching Service, deepen survivor voice, grow their member network and create more opportunities for survivors across the UK.
“Bright Future has always been built on the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, purpose and hope. As we move into this new chapter, we are grateful to Causeway for their stewardship and commitment, and excited to welcome Justice & Care as the new provider of the National Matching Service. The Board is confident that this transition will build on the strong foundations already in place and continue to create life-changing employment opportunities for survivors of modern slavery.” – Amelia Woodley, Chair of the Bright Future Board
We are proud that our experience across survivor care, safeguarding, and partnership delivery has earned trust across the anti-slavery sector and that we have co-developed national standards for survivor care, work closely with frontline agencies, and bring a proven track record of delivering high-quality, survivor-centred programmes at scale.
This is an exciting new partnership and we look forward to sharing more in due course. If you have any questions, please contact hello@justiceandcare.org.
