Tariqul Islam

Tariqul is a global hero in the fight against human trafficking – and it’s not just us that thinks that. In 2022, he was named by the US State Department as one of their Trafficking In Persons Report Heroes for his tireless work fighting the crime in Bangladesh with Justice & Care. He has years of experience in the development sector, knows exactly how to drive widespread change and has led our Bangladesh work since 2017.  

‘I remember the first time I helped a young victim to walk free from slavery – seeing her safe again and reunited with her family meant everything. I knew from then on that I wanted to dedicate my life to fighting this crime and I’m so proud of the impact we have at Justice & Care.’
